Winter Wx ongoing + Pics!

Still have winter weather in progress across the mid-section of the U.S.
TX panhandle saw all snow, SW OK saw all ice and central/eastern OK saw ice, sleet and now they are in the middle of a healthy snow storm with 6″+ expected.  Live streams are still available out of the OKC and Tulsa areas.

The latest model guidance suggests a major snow event for the TX panhandle, NW OK and southern KS. Central and NE OK will see ice and wind; a horrible combination.

California Tornadoes!

An amazing weather day on the southern west coast as tornadoes and related damage are reported in Orange County and the Santa Barbara area.  Now the problems we expected are beginning to really come to light.  Evacuations are underway of hillside residents in several locations due to concerns about land & mudslides.

The much advertised west coast storm system started ashore last night and is ramping up today.  The above image is not a very common sight for the central and southern California coastal areas so it bears watching.

Flooding in the Southeast / West Coast

This weekend looks to be a wet one in the Southeast, mainly along the I-95 corridor.  1-1.5″ is progged with some areas receiving more so a general flood threat can be expected.  The system should eject late Sunday and a few nice days will follow.
